Since more than 20 years I see people practicing Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Ba Gua… and in recent years perhaps only two people I had the pleasure to meet knew what was the Kwa (and among those who did not know there were many with teacher degrees and diplomas).
Too bad, because knowing what the Kwa is (Chinese term actually to indicate the pelvis, pelvis, in his important joints) is the basis for:
- Not to hurt your knees (and then doing yourself good with arts born for doing good)
- Practicing really one of the internal parts of these arts, not by chance called internal…
Otherwise, it remains only the “dance” part, which is not Tai Chi, Qi Gong, etc…
In this video (English subtitles) I explain one of the internal movements of the Kwa to apply, for example, to a part of the Tai Chi form.
And in this other (also subtitled) I show part of a simple and powerful exercise to do with the Kwa, which if done well, it’s worth alone 100 forms of Qi Gong or Tai Chi done poorly.
Have a good practice!
